Moderator’s Disaster Appeal Launches for 2024
If you or your Church would like to support recovery of communities in disaster-affected areas across the state, the Moderator's Appeal applies these funds where they are most needed.
Australia is experiencing higher temperatures, more extreme droughts, fire seasons, floods and more extreme weather due to climate change. Our Pacific partners are also drastically affected by rising sea waters.
Again, this year the Moderator is officially launching the Disaster Appeal to assist our Disaster Recovery Chaplaincy Network (DRCN) to help in those communities most affected by adverse weather conditions that cause flooding, drought and bushfires.
The DRCN are on the ground in affected areas to offer support and assistance through counselling and even pre-paid credit card assistance for families who require immediate assistance.
